Victory Cottage is a small, family ran business. We provide high-quality and convenient accommodation in the center of Stanley, with the focus on the comfort of our guests.
We pride ourselves on a high standard of cleanliness, and would always ask for immediate feedback if anything does not meet our high standards.
We also hope to provide a knowledgeable and approachable point of contact. If you ever need any help or advice when planning your trip, or while you are here, please let us know if there is anything we can help you with.
Fran is a part owner of the property. You could always pop in to the Penguin News office, where she works most week days, if you wanted to meet her! She is passionate about the Falkland Islands and believes it’s important to meet visitors to the Islands, and wants her self-catering to be more personal than most. She helps out a lot in the background, generally taking charge of all the laundry and shopping. If Ailie isn’t available Fran will step in to answer your questions, and will quite often be there when you’re checking out.
Peter is Fran’s husband, and the other part owner of the property. He is an elected Member of the Legislative Assembly, so can often be seen at various meetings and events around town, or in the MLAs office in Gilbert House. Peter is the true perfectionist in the team, and insists on all additions to Victory Cottage to be of a high standard. He generally carries out all maintenance duties around the property, and would be the person that might be called upon if there were any issues during your stay.
